Jugglers in a Rotating Orchard is an exploration of multi-tempo composition. The three instrumentalists play variously in separate tempi, same tempi, and combinations of free meter against a backdrop of one or two separate tempi. With the presence of the electric guitar, some conscious gestural references are made to commercial and folk music. These were usually suggested by the tempi themselves. As a virtuosic, performer-oriented work, it can be performed with or without the multi-track click track.
