Began life as Commencement Fanfare, composed for the Pittsburg State University Trumpet Ensemble under Todd Hastings for the university’s commencement, 1997. In 2014 Mr. Hastings commissioned the work to be enlarged as a festival piece, which was done and the title changed forever to Bells of the Lake.
